DN Media Group’s mission is to empower ambitious people and businesses, by providing world-class journalism, interesting meeting places, quality content and in-depth analysis.

Our history goes back to 1889 when the company Norges Sjøfartstidende was established in Oslo, Norway by captain Magnus Andersen. After almost 100 years, under Kåre Valebrokk’s management in 1987, the newspaper changed its name to Dagens Næringsliv.

The group has been known as NHST Media Group since 2007, but from now on it will be called DN Media Group AS.

We have now decided to name the group after our first publication and largest brand. In relation to the new name, we will also roll out a new visual identity, with fonts, colour palette, a new symbol and logo – and this home page.

NB: most employees in DN Media Group will use @dngroup.com as their e-mail address, however, we can be reached on our old adresses for a while.

We have also changed the name of our subsidiary NHST Global Publications AS to DN Media Group Global AS.

Kystens Næringsliv was launched in November 2022, and provide news, insight and analyses about maritime industries to executives and leaders.

The Norwegian language publication will cover the maritime industry which is central for future value creation in Norway.

At kystens.no we set the spotlight on business opportunities, green transition, political conditions, recruitment and finance.

Kystens Næringsliv is mainly based in Bergen, with Øystein Hage as Editor-in-Chief.

Hydrogen Insight was launched in autumn 2022 as a spin-off from energy transition publication Recharge

The mission is to deliver engaging and independent business journalism and insight to executives and leaders in the global hydrogen industry.

The publication focus on delivering news and analysis that matters, fearlessly looking beyond the hydrogen hype to provide a balanced view of the market, giving readers the knowledge they need to make critical business decisions.

Recharge has been covering and writing about the global renewables industry since 2009 — and the hydrogen sector since 2017.

Hydrogen Insight will continue the mission of providing readers with the deepest knowledge and understanding of what is a highly complex and evolving market.

We will continue to expose the greenwashing, exaggerations and unfounded claims in the industry, separating fact from fiction, to ensure that Hydrogen Insight is a publication that readers can trust and respect.
